One way to protect your NIV from continuous burning is by locking it to mint veNIV at a 1:1 ratio.

veNIV serves as our governance token and the premier collateral asset for nUSD, offering the highest loan-to-value (LTV) ratio at 98%. It shares NIV's floor price, allowing us to provide an exceptionally high LTV.

Unlocking

Initially, veNIV will not have active liquidity. If you decide to sell, you'll first need to unlock your NIV.

The unlocking process takes 7 days from the moment you initiate it. Once the unlock is complete, you’ll have 21 hours to withdraw your NIV.

If you miss the withdrawal window, your NIV will automatically relock, and you'll need to restart the process.
